IIoT Platform Operations Engineer
We are seeking an Operations Engineer to ensure the reliability of our services and support seamless day-to-day operations across our teams. In this role, you will act as the first point of response for incidents and requests related to our global IIoT platform, maintain connectivity with Azure IIoT Hub, and manage communications with edge gateways deployed at customer sites.
You might be our missing piece if you have:
Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, IP, ports, and routing basics).
Hands-on Linux operational skills (SSH, log inspection, service status/restarts, basic file permissions).
An understanding of HTTPS/TLS certificates and ability to follow renewal and validation procedures.
Experience monitoring systems via dashboards and alerts, with the ability to perform first-response incident handling.
The ability to triage incidents, collect logs/diagnostics, and escalate issues with clear documentation.
Basic troubleshooting skills for connectivity issues (DNS resolution, ports/HTTPS, VPN/client connectivity).
The comfort working with procedures, runbooks, and escalation paths.
Good written communication skills and discipline in documenting work.
The ability to manage day-to-day operations during business hours and are open to supporting extended hours as the platform grows.
We would be thrilled if you have:
Education in a practical IT field such as Informatics, Networking, System Administration, or Telecommunications.
Certifications (or equivalent knowledge) such as ITIL 4 Foundation, Network+/CCNA fundamentals, Linux Essentials/LPIC-1, or AZ-900.
Familiarity with Azure basics (portal checks, service health, monitoring concepts).
Experience using monitoring/alerting tools and analyzing system or application logs.
Exposure to edge/IoT connectivity scenarios.
Basic experience supporting Windows laptops (VPN connectivity, configuration issues, certificate store basics).
We will be working together on:
Monitoring platform health and providing first-line incident response during business hours.
Triaging incidents, gathering technical details, and escalating to higher support levels when needed.
Performing basic service troubleshooting (status checks, restarts, log collection).
Supporting Azure-connected services through basic availability and connectivity checks.
Troubleshooting networking issues such as DNS, reachability, HTTPS/ports, and VPN connectivity.
Handling certificate lifecycle tasks including tracking expirations, renewals, and validation.
Providing basic Windows laptop support for internal users.
Maintaining clear documentation and improving operational processes and monitoring where possible.
