Network Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to ensure the optimal performance, stability, and security of our company's IT infrastructure. This role involves maintaining and improving all network and infrastructure devices, ensuring high uptime, executing preventative maintenance, and implementing automation where possible. The successful candidate will have the technical expertise to understand the current network setup,
identify improvements, and execute upgrades with minimal disruption to operations.
You might be our missing piece if you have:
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Systems Administrator, or Infrastructure Specialist.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching).
- Firewall configuration and security best practices.
- Server administration (Windows Server, Linux).
- Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
- Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, Azure) preferred.
- Experience with NVR, CCTV, and access control systems.
- Proficiency in network monitoring and automation tools.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
We would be thrilled if you have:
- CCNA / CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional)
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+
- MCSA/MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert)
- VMware VCP or similar virtualization certification
We will be working together on:
- Ensure all network and infrastructure devices are functional, including physical/virtual servers, wired/wireless networks, firewalls, NVR, and access control systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all systems to minimize downtime.
- Keep all devices up to date with the latest security patches, firmware, and software versions.
- Conduct regular checks, audits, and performance tests to ensure 99.8% uptime for critical systems.
- Proactively monitor infrastructure for performance bottlenecks, vulnerabilities, and faults.
- Maintain and configure monitoring systems (e.g., Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, SolarWinds).
- Execute regular backups of data servers according to company policies.
- Maintain and test disaster recovery procedures.
- Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and security policies.
- Conduct security assessments and penetration tests.
- Develop and implement automation scripts/tools for efficiency.
