Data Warehouse Engineer
About the role:
- steepsoft, a leading software development company specializing in Artificial
Intelligence, Computer Vision, Data Engineering, and Web/Mobile development, is
looking to add an AI Engineer to our cross-functional team. - As a Data Warehouse Engineer for our client, you will ensure the stability and performance of client's MSSQL-based data warehouse.
You might be our missing piece if you have:
- Proficiency in Transact-SQL for querying and managing databases/data warehouses.
- Experience in monitoring and managing SQL Agent Jobs within SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve ETL-related issues.
- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and optimizing SQL stored procedures.
- Experience in code versioning leveraging GIT and Azure DevOps.
- Skills in designing, implementing, and maintaining SSIS packages.
We would be thrilled if you have:
- Basic understanding of SSAS, including the ability to comprehend cube structures and reprocess cubes when necessary.
We will be working together on:
- Monitoring and communicating with analytic teams and business users about data status in the MSSQL data warehouse.
- Triaging data-related issues, investigating root causes, and develing solutions to ensure timely resolution.
- Implementing and managing ETL processes in SSIS, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
- Collaborating with DBAs, ensuring performance, backup strategies, security, and standard methodologies for the MSSQL data warehouse.
- Adding and enhancing observability controls in partnership with the Storage Services team.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all ETL processes, including pipeline architectures, codebase, and infrastructure configurations.
- Translating high-level business requirements into technical specifications and implementing robust, scalable solutions.
- Using GIT for version control and collaborative development.
- Conducting thorough testing of ETL processes and data transformations to ensure accuracy and reliability.
